شهدت حلبة كورنيش جدة، انعقاد مؤتمر «رالي طويق» للسيارات الكلاسيكية، الذي تُنظمه شركة كروس سيكشن غلوبال، بإشراف الاتحاد السعودي للسيارات والدراجات النارية، إذ كُشفت رسميّاً النسخة الرابعة من مسار الرالي، الذي يقام خلال الفترة من 25 يناير - 6 فبراير 2026.

وينطلق الرالي بمسارات تمتد عبر السعودية ودول خليجية متعددة، انطلاقاً من العلا ثم مُدن حائل، وبريدة، والرياض، والأحساء، ليتوجه إلى جبل الظنّة بالإمارات العربية المتحدة ومدينة العين، وينتقل إلى مسقط في سلطنة عُمان، ويعود في الختام إلى الشارقة، بمشاركة أكثر من 50 سيارة كلاسيكية من موديلات 79 وما دون، ووسط تضاريس متنوعة وجغرافيا فريدة، تمتد لأكثر من 3,400 كيلومتر.

ويأتي إعلان المسار الجديد ليعكس هوية الرالي وما يقدمه من تجربة فريدة تجمع أصالة السيارات الكلاسيكية وجمال المواقع الطبيعية والتاريخية التي تمر بها مراحل الحدث.

من جانبه أكّد رئيس فريق التنظيم لرالي طويق الدولي للسيارات الكلاسيكية الدكتور ناصر المسعري، في تصريحٍ لـ«واس»، أن الرالي يمثّل منصة نوعية تحتضن شغف المشاركين بسياراتهم التاريخية، مؤكداً أن النسخة الرابعة تستقطب نماذج فريدة تجاوز عمرها عقوداً عدة، مما يجعل المشاركة فيها اختباراً حقيقيّاً لقوة المركبات وكفاءة قائديها، ويعكس مكانة المملكة المتنامية في تنظيم الفعاليات المتخصصة ذات الطابع التراثي والرياضي.

وبيّن الدكتور المسعري أن اختيار اسم «طويق» يأتي نسبة إلى الجبل التاريخي العريق في المملكة، بوصفه رمزاً للصلابة والثبات، وهي الصفات التي تتواءم مع طبيعة الرالي الذي يعتمد على سيارات يراوح عمرها بين (47 - 70) عاماً، مما يجعل التحدي ذا طابع تقني وإنساني في آنٍ واحد، ويمنح المنافسة معايير عالمية تضاهي أبرز الراليات الدولية.

وأضاف أن الرالي ينسجم مع توجهات المملكة في تعزيز مسارات الثقافة والسياحة والترفيه والرياضة، مشيراً إلى أن الفعالية تُسهم في إبراز القيمة التاريخية للسيارات الكلاسيكية، إلى جانب دورها في جذب الزوار والمشاركين من داخل المملكة وخارجها، ضمن منظومة تدعم المشهد السياحي والثقافي الوطني.

يُذكر أن الرالي يتميز بكونه مرحليّاً، يمر فيه المتسابقون بمراحل عدة ومدن ودول عبر مسارات محددة للسائقين، كما يجب على المتسابقين إنهاء كل مرحلة ضمن وقت محدد للحصول على نقاط المرحلة الكاملة، وتُجمع النقاط لتحديد المراكز النهائية، مما يجمع بين التحدي والمهارة والمتعة البصرية للسيارات الكلاسيكية.

The Jeddah Corniche Circuit hosted the "Tuwaiq Rally" conference for classic cars, organized by Cross Section Global, under the supervision of the Saudi Arabian Motor Federation. The fourth edition of the rally route was officially revealed, which will take place from January 25 to February 6, 2026.

The rally will feature routes extending across Saudi Arabia and several Gulf countries, starting from AlUla and then moving through the cities of Hail, Buraidah, Riyadh, and Al-Ahsa, heading to Jebel Dhanna in the United Arab Emirates and the city of Al Ain, before moving to Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman, and finally returning to Sharjah, with participation from more than 50 classic cars from models 1979 and older, across diverse terrains and unique geography, spanning over 3,400 kilometers.

The announcement of the new route reflects the identity of the rally and what it offers as a unique experience that combines the authenticity of classic cars with the beauty of the natural and historical sites that the event stages pass through.

Dr. Nasser Al-Masari, the head of the organizing team for the Tuwaiq International Classic Car Rally, confirmed in a statement to "WAS," that the rally represents a qualitative platform that embraces the passion of participants for their historic cars. He emphasized that the fourth edition attracts unique models that are several decades old, making participation a true test of the vehicles' strength and the drivers' efficiency, reflecting the Kingdom's growing status in organizing specialized events with a heritage and sporting character.

Dr. Al-Masari explained that the choice of the name "Tuwaiq" is attributed to the historic mountain in the Kingdom, symbolizing resilience and stability, qualities that align with the nature of the rally that relies on cars ranging in age from 47 to 70 years, making the challenge both technical and human, and providing the competition with global standards that rival the most prominent international rallies.

He added that the rally aligns with the Kingdom's initiatives to enhance the paths of culture, tourism, entertainment, and sports, noting that the event contributes to highlighting the historical value of classic cars, alongside its role in attracting visitors and participants from within and outside the Kingdom, as part of a system that supports the national tourism and cultural scene.

It is worth mentioning that the rally is characterized by being stage-based, where competitors pass through several stages, cities, and countries along specific routes for drivers. Competitors must complete each stage within a set time to earn points for the complete stage, and the points are totaled to determine the final standings, combining challenge, skill, and the visual enjoyment of classic cars.
