حكم القضاء المصري بالسجن المؤبد على الإعلاميين معتز مطر ومحمد ناصر و9 آخرين لإدانتهم بقيادة وعضوية جماعة إرهابية تهدف إلى استخدام القوة والعنف والتهديد والترويع داخل البلاد، والإخلال بالنظام العام وسلامة المجتمع ومصالحه وأمنه.

وأصدرت الدائرة الأولى المختصة بقضايا الإرهاب، الحكم خلال جلستها في محكمة جنايات بدر، مساء أمس (الثلاثاء).

وكشفت التحقيقات تورط المتهمين في ارتكاب جريمة تمويل الإرهاب، إذ ثبت قيامهم بجمع وتوفير وحيازة ونقل وتزويد إحدى الجماعات المتطرفة ببيانات ومواد ومعلومات وأموال، سواء بصورة مباشرة أو عبر وسائل رقمية حديثة، كما عمدوا إلى دعم أنشطة إرهابية داخل البلاد وخارجها.

وأفادت المحكمة بأن الهدف من هذه الأنشطة الإجرامية تمثل في تعطيل أحكام الدستور والقوانين، ومنع مؤسسات الدولة من أداء مهماتها، والاعتداء على الحريات الشخصية والعامة للمواطنين، فضلاً عن الإضرار بالوحدة الوطنية والسلام الاجتماعي، والسعي إلى نشر الفوضى واستخدام القوة لزعزعة الأمن والاستقرار في المجتمع، وفق التحقيقات.

وكانت النيابة العامة أحالت المتهمين إلى المحاكمة في وقت سابق، بعد أن وجهت لهم تهم الانضمام إلى جماعة إرهابية أسست على خلاف أحكام القانون، الغرض منها الدعوة إلى تعطيل أحكام الدستور والقوانين ومنع مؤسسات الدولة والسلطات العامة من ممارسة أعمالها وتمويل جماعة إرهابية وحيازة طائرات.

ووجهت النيابة إلى المتهمين تهم «تكدير السلم العام، في إطار أهداف جماعة الإخوان الإرهابية، والترويج لأغراض الجماعة التي تستهدف زعزعة الثقة في الدولة المصرية ومؤسساتها».

The Egyptian judiciary has sentenced media figures Moataz Matar, Mohamed Nasser, and 9 others to life imprisonment for their conviction of leading and being members of a terrorist group aimed at using force, violence, threats, and intimidation within the country, disrupting public order, and compromising the safety, interests, and security of society.

The first circuit specialized in terrorism cases issued the ruling during its session at the Badr Criminal Court yesterday evening (Tuesday).

Investigations revealed the defendants' involvement in committing the crime of financing terrorism, as it was established that they collected, provided, possessed, transported, and supplied a terrorist group with data, materials, information, and funds, either directly or through modern digital means. They also sought to support terrorist activities both within and outside the country.

The court stated that the goal of these criminal activities was to disrupt the provisions of the constitution and laws, prevent state institutions from performing their duties, infringe upon the personal and public freedoms of citizens, as well as harm national unity and social peace, and strive to spread chaos and use force to undermine security and stability in society, according to the investigations.

The Public Prosecution had previously referred the defendants to trial after charging them with joining a terrorist group established in violation of the law, aimed at calling for the disruption of the provisions of the constitution and laws, preventing state institutions and public authorities from carrying out their functions, financing a terrorist group, and possessing aircraft.

The prosecution charged the defendants with "disturbing public peace, in the context of the goals of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group, and promoting the group's objectives that aim to undermine trust in the Egyptian state and its institutions."
