توفي وزير الثقافة السوري السابقرياض نعسان آغا عن عمر ناهز 77 عاماً، في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، حيث كان يقيم خلال السنوات الأخيرة، بعد مسيرة حافلة امتدت لعقود في مجالات الثقافة والإعلام والسياسة.

وُلد نعسان آغا في محافظة إدلب عام 1947، ودرس الأدب العربي والفلسفة والإعلام في جامعة دمشق، قبل أن يبرز اسمه في التلفزيون السوري خلال سبعينات وثمانينات القرن الماضي، مساهماً في إدارة البرامج وصناعة المحتوى الثقافي والدرامي.

وتولى الراحل مناصب سياسية ودبلوماسية عدة، من بينها عضوية مجلس الشعب، وإدارة مكتب الشؤون السياسية في رئاسة الجمهورية، إضافة إلى تمثيل سورية دبلوماسياً في سلطنة عُمان ودولة الإمارات. وفي عام 2006، شغل منصب وزير الثقافة، حيث عمل على دعم الفعاليات الثقافية وتعزيز الحضور الثقافي السوري عربياً ودولياً.

وإلى جانب المناصب الرسمية، عُرف نعسان آغا بكتاباته ومقالاته الفكرية والثقافية، ومشاركاته في المؤتمرات والندوات، وكان حضوره الفكري والإعلامي محل نقاش واسع، لما عُرف عنه من صراحة ووضوح في الطرح.

The former Syrian Minister of Culture, Riyad Nasan Agha, passed away at the age of 77 in the United Arab Emirates, where he had been residing in recent years, after a rich career that spanned decades in the fields of culture, media, and politics.

Nasan Agha was born in Idlib Governorate in 1947 and studied Arabic literature, philosophy, and media at the University of Damascus, before his name emerged in Syrian television during the 1970s and 1980s, contributing to program management and the production of cultural and dramatic content.

The late minister held several political and diplomatic positions, including membership in the People's Assembly, managing the Political Affairs Office in the Presidency, in addition to representing Syria diplomatically in Oman and the United Arab Emirates. In 2006, he served as Minister of Culture, where he worked to support cultural events and enhance the Syrian cultural presence both regionally and internationally.

Alongside his official positions, Nasan Agha was known for his writings and intellectual and cultural articles, as well as his participation in conferences and seminars. His intellectual and media presence was widely discussed, due to his reputation for frankness and clarity in his discourse.
