يعتقد البعض أن الفضاء الواسع الذي أتاحته منصات التواصل الاجتماعي يصعب ضبطه ومتابعة ما يقال ويكتب فيه، وتحديد ما هو مخالف للقوانين والأنظمة المرعية في أي بلد، كما أن هذا البعض لديه مشكلة في فهم معنى حرية الرأي والنقد، والحدود التي تؤطرها، واللغة المقبولة للتعبير عنها. يعتقدون أن هذا الفضاء الشاسع لم يوجد إلا لقول أي شيء عن أي شيء ودون اعتبار لأي شيء، دون علم بأنه ما من دولة في العالم مهما كان سقف حرية الرأي فيها عالياً إلا ولديها قوانين تحاسب على التجاوزات الضارة التي تؤثر على السلم المجتمعي، أو التي تتعارض مع المصالح الوطنية العليا.

هناك فرق كبير بين النقد الموضوعي الذي ينطلق من حرص على مصلحة الوطن والمجتمع بلغة متزنة، والطرح العشوائي غير المنضبط الذي يعكس احتقاناً وسخطاً ذاتياً لمجرد التأليب والتحشيد لرأي أو وجهة نظر لا علاقة لها بالمصلحة العامة، وإنما تنطوي على الإثارة والمبالغة والمغالطة لخلق حالة من التذمر والإحباط في المجتمع، لا يمكن تبريرها أو تمريرها أو التسامح معها تحت أي ذريعة. وحتى يكون الناس على بينة فقد تم إعلان القوانين التي تحدد المسموح والمحظور، والممكن وغير الممكن، وحتى هذه القوانين يمكن مناقشتها وطرح الآراء حولها طالما يتم ذلك بأسلوب متزن يثري الحوار ويتوخى الأفضل، لكن لا يصح تجاهلها والقفز عليها والتحدي لها بتعمد مخالفتها طالما هي سارية المفعول.

احترام القانون المنظم لأي شأن وجه مهم من وجوه المواطنة حتى لو لم تتفق معه. وكل شيء قابل للنقاش، وكل موضوع قابل لتناوله، ولكن المهم بأي لغة يتم التناول والنقاش، وما هو الهدف الذي يسعى إليه الشخص. وفي كل الأحوال هناك قيمة عليا اسمها الوطن يجب الحرص الشديد على أمنه واستقراره، وهناك مجتمع نحن منه وفيه، نطمح أن يتميز دائماً بالطرح الواعي الناضج الذي يعكس قيمه وأخلاقه.

Some believe that the vast space provided by social media platforms is difficult to regulate and to monitor what is said and written within it, and to determine what is contrary to the laws and regulations in any country. This group also has a problem understanding the meaning of freedom of opinion and criticism, the boundaries that frame it, and the acceptable language to express it. They think that this vast space exists solely to say anything about anything without regard for anything, unaware that no country in the world, no matter how high its ceiling of freedom of opinion, lacks laws that hold accountable for harmful transgressions that affect societal peace or that contradict the supreme national interests.

There is a significant difference between objective criticism that stems from a concern for the interest of the nation and society, expressed in a balanced language, and the random, uncontrolled discourse that reflects personal frustration and resentment merely to incite and rally support for an opinion or viewpoint unrelated to the public interest, but rather involves provocation, exaggeration, and fallacy to create a state of discontent and frustration in society, which cannot be justified, passed off, or tolerated under any pretext. For people to be informed, the laws that define what is permitted and prohibited, what is possible and impossible, have been announced. Even these laws can be discussed and opinions can be expressed about them as long as this is done in a balanced manner that enriches the dialogue and seeks improvement. However, it is not acceptable to ignore them, bypass them, or challenge them by deliberately violating them as long as they are in effect.

Respecting the law that governs any matter is an important aspect of citizenship, even if one does not agree with it. Everything is open to discussion, and every topic is subject to examination, but what matters is the language used in the discussion and what goal the person aims to achieve. In all cases, there is a higher value called the homeland that must be fiercely protected for its security and stability, and there is a community that we are part of and within, which we aspire to always be characterized by conscious and mature discourse that reflects its values and ethics.
