حقق مانشستر سيتي فوزاً مثيراً على مضيفه فولهام بخمسة أهداف مقابل أربعة، في المباراة التي جمعتهما مساء أمس (الثلاثاء) على ملعب «كرافين كوتاج»، ضمن منافسات الجولة الـ14 من الدوري الإنجليزي (بريميرليغ).
انطلاقة قوية للسيتي
افتتح النرويجي إيرلينغ هالاند التسجيل في الدقيقة 17، قبل أن يضيف رايندرز الهدف الثاني في الدقيقة 37 بعد تمريرة من هالاند.
وفي الدقيقة 44، سجل فيل فودين الهدف الثالث بتسديدة قوية، مستفيداً من تراجع دفاع فولهام.
وقلّص سميث رو الفارق لأصحاب الأرض في الدقيقة 45+2، لينتهي الشوط الأول بتقدم مانشستر سيتي 3–1.
السيتي يعمّق جراح فولهام
مع بداية الشوط الثاني، واصل فودين تألقه وأضاف الهدف الرابع في الدقيقة 48.
وبعدها بستّ دقائق، سجل مدافع فولهام بيرغه هدفاً بالخطأ في مرماه، ليصبح الهدف الخامس للسيتي.
صحوة مثيرة لأصحاب الأرض
وانتفض فولهام وفرض سيطرته، ونجح في تقليص الفارق عبر أليكس أيوبي في الدقيقة 57، قبل أن يسجل البديل شاكويزي هدفين متتاليين في الدقيقتين 72 و78، لتشتعل أجواء المباراة.
ورغم الضغط المتواصل من فولهام في الدقائق الأخيرة، حافظ مانشستر سيتي على توازنه الدفاعي، ليحصد ثلاث نقاط ثمينة.
ترتيب الفريقين
بهذه النتيجة، رفع مانشستر سيتي رصيده إلى 28 نقطة في المركز الثاني، بفارق نقطتين خلف المتصدر أرسنال الذي يواجه برينتفورد اليوم (الأربعاء).
في المقابل، تجمّد رصيد فولهام عند 17 نقطة في المركز الـ15 بعد تلقيه الهزيمة السابعة هذا الموسم.
Manchester City achieved a thrilling victory over their hosts Fulham with a score of five goals to four, in the match that took place last night (Tuesday) at Craven Cottage, as part of the 14th round of the English Premier League.
A Strong Start for City
The Norwegian Erling Haaland opened the scoring in the 17th minute, before Rainders added the second goal in the 37th minute after a pass from Haaland.
In the 44th minute, Phil Foden scored the third goal with a powerful shot, taking advantage of Fulham's defensive lapse.
Smith Rowe reduced the deficit for the hosts in the 45+2 minute, ending the first half with Manchester City leading 3–1.
City Deepens Fulham's Wounds
At the start of the second half, Foden continued his brilliance and added the fourth goal in the 48th minute.
Six minutes later, Fulham's defender Bergh made an own goal, making it the fifth goal for City.
A Thrilling Comeback for the Hosts
Fulham rallied and imposed their control, successfully reducing the deficit through Alex Iwobi in the 57th minute, before substitute Shakwezi scored two consecutive goals in the 72nd and 78th minutes, igniting the atmosphere of the match.
Despite the continuous pressure from Fulham in the final minutes, Manchester City maintained their defensive balance, securing three valuable points.
Team Standings
With this result, Manchester City raised their tally to 28 points in second place, two points behind leaders Arsenal, who face Brentford today (Wednesday).
Meanwhile, Fulham's points remained at 17 in 15th place after suffering their seventh defeat this season.
