أعلن أتلتيكو مدريد الإسباني وفاة أسطورته إنريكي كولار عن عمر ناهز 91 عاماً، بعد صراع طويل مع المرض.

وقال النادي الإسباني في بيان: «يعيش نادي أتلتيكو مدريد حالة حداد بعد وفاة أحد أعظم أساطيرنا، إنريكي كولار، الذي فاز بلقب الدوري الإسباني مرة واحدة، وثلاثة ألقاب في كأس ملك إسبانيا، إضافة إلى لقب كأس الكؤوس الأوروبية، خلال مسيرته في الدفاع عن ألوان نادينا».

مسيرة الإنجازات

وأضاف البيان: «كما ارتدى كولار شارة قيادة الفريق لمدة 10 سنوات، من 1960 حتى 1969، ليصبح أكثر لاعب حمل شارة القيادة في تاريخ النادي، وبرحيله فقدت عائلة أتلتيكو مدريد رمزاً كبيراً بذل كل ما في وسعه لقيادة النادي إلى قمة كرة القدم الإسبانية والأوروبية».

وختم: «يتقدم الرئيس التنفيذي للنادي، وأعضاء مجلس الإدارة، وجميع العاملين فيه، بخالص التعازي لعائلة الراحل وأصدقائه، مؤكدين مشاركتهم لهم مشاعر الحزن والأسى».

وخاض كولار، الذي شغل مركز الجناح الأيسر، 470 مباراة بقميص أتلتيكو مدريد، سجل خلالها 105 أهداف، خلال الفترة من 1953 حتى 1969، ليصبح خامس أكثر لاعبي النادي مشاركة في المباريات الرسمية، متساوياً مع الفرنسي أنطوان غريزمان.

Atletico Madrid has announced the death of its legend Enrique Collar at the age of 91, after a long battle with illness.

State of Mourning

The Spanish club stated in a statement: "Atletico Madrid is in a state of mourning following the death of one of our greatest legends, Enrique Collar, who won the Spanish league title once, three Copa del Rey titles, in addition to the European Cup Winners' Cup, during his career defending our club's colors."

Career Achievements

The statement added: "Collar also captained the team for 10 years, from 1960 to 1969, becoming the player who wore the captain's armband the most in the club's history. With his passing, the Atletico Madrid family has lost a great symbol who did everything he could to lead the club to the pinnacle of Spanish and European football."

It concluded: "The club's CEO, board members, and all employees extend their heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, expressing their shared feelings of sadness and grief."

Collar, who played as a left winger, appeared in 470 matches for Atletico Madrid, scoring 105 goals, during the period from 1953 to 1969, making him the fifth most capped player in the club's official matches, tied with Frenchman Antoine Griezmann.
