سجّل الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب رقماً قياسياً في التواصل الإعلامي منذ عودته إلى السلطة، إذ تحدث إلى الصحفيين بما مجموعه حوالى 2.4 مليون كلمة خلال أقل من عام واحد، في رقم غير مسبوق يعكس كثافة ظهوره الإعلامي وحرصه على التواصل المباشر مع وسائل الإعلام.

وبحسب بيانات مكتب إحصاءات إدارة التوثيق الصحفي في البيت الأبيض، فإن حجم كلمات ترمب المتداولة في الفعاليات الصحفية المفتوحة يفوق رواية «الحرب والسلام» للكاتب الروسي ليف تولستوي أكثر من 4 مرات، ويمثل 31 مرة حجم رواية «هاري بوتر وحجر الفيلسوف»، و22 مرة كتابه «فن الصفقة» الذي شارك في تأليفه، في مؤشر صادم على نشاطه الإعلامي مقارنة بالمراجع الأدبية الشهيرة.

وقد شارك ترمب منذ توليه الرئاسة في 433 فعالية صحفية مفتوحة، شملت تصريحات رسمية، ومؤتمرات صحافية، ولقاءات عفوية مع الصحفيين خارج الطائرة أو على متنها، وجلسات توقيع أوامر تنفيذية. وتوزعت هذه اللقاءات على 156 لقاءً غير رسمي، و13 مؤتمراً صحافياً، و41 لقاءً إعلامياً على متن «إير فورس وان»، إضافة إلى لقاءات متعددة عند مروحية الرئاسة «مارين وان».

وأوضح البيت الأبيض أن الضمادات اللاصقة على يد ترمب لا تشير إلى أي مشكلة صحية، بل جاءت نتيجة كثرة المصافحات اليومية، في لمسة بشرية لافتة من الرئيس.

يذكر أن الأرقام المعلنة لا تشمل التفاعلات السريعة أو التعليقات العابرة خلال استقبال الزعماء، ما يعني أن حجم كلمات ترمب الفعلي قد يكون أكبر من المعلن بكثير، مما يجعل منه أحد أكثر الرؤساء الأمريكيين تواصلاً مع الإعلام في التاريخ الحديث.

According to data from the White House Office of Press Statistics, the volume of Trump's words exchanged in open press events exceeds that of Leo Tolstoy's "War and Peace" by more than 4 times, representing 31 times the size of the novel "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone," and 22 times his book "The Art of the Deal," which he co-authored, indicating a shocking level of media activity compared to famous literary references.

Since taking office, Trump has participated in 433 open press events, which included official statements, press conferences, spontaneous meetings with reporters outside or on board the plane, and signing sessions for executive orders. These meetings comprised 156 informal encounters, 13 press conferences, and 41 media meetings aboard "Air Force One," in addition to multiple meetings at the presidential helicopter "Marine One."

The White House clarified that the bandages on Trump's hand do not indicate any health issue, but resulted from the numerous daily handshakes, showcasing a notable human touch from the president.
