وبحسب التقرير، نشأت عصابة «Gucci Gang» في دبلن كمجموعة من مجرمي «الصف الثالث»، قبل أن تتطور تدريجياً إلى شبكة إجرامية دولية تُقدّر حصيلة سرقاتها بملايين الجنيهات الإسترلينية، مستغلة نمط الحياة الفاخر الذي يوثقه اللاعبون وعائلاتهم على منصات التواصل الاجتماعي.
وسُميت العصابة بهذا الاسم نسبة إلى علامة «غوتشي» الفاخرة، التي يحرص أعضاؤها على ارتدائها، في مظهر يحاكي حياة الرفاهية التي يستهدفونها، بينما يقفون في الواقع خلف واحدة من أكثر شبكات السرقة المنظمة تطوراً في أوروبا.
منشورات عابرة تتحول إلى «قوائم تسوق»
التقرير، المستند إلى مصادر شرطية وملفات تحقيق في جرائم سرقة منظمة، أشار إلى أن العصابة تعتمد أسلوباً يقوم على مراقبة دقيقة لحسابات اللاعبين وزوجاتهم وصديقاتهم على «إنستغرام».
وتُظهر تلك الحسابات عادةً ساعات فاخرة من ماركات مثل «رولكس»، ومجوهرات من «غوتشي»، وحقائب «هيرميس» وغيرها، لتتحول هذه الصور من استعراض لحياة الرفاهية إلى ما يشبه «قوائم تسوق إجرامية».
بعد ذلك، يتولى فريق من اللصوص، غالباً من أصول ألبانية، مهمة الاستطلاع الميداني، وتحديد نقاط الدخول ومواعيد الغياب، قبل تنفيذ غارات ليلية خاطفة لا تستغرق سوى دقائق معدودة.
عصابات ألبانية و«لصوص متجولون»
وتبرز في خلفية هذه العمليات شراكات وثيقة مع عصابات ألبانية، توصف بأنها من أكثر الشبكات الإجرامية نشاطاً في أوروبا الشرقية.
هذه العصابات، التي يُشار إليها اصطلاحاً بـ«اللصوص المتجولين»، تدخل الأراضي البريطانية في كثير من الحالات عبر شاحنات، ثم تنخرط في تنفيذ السرقات على الأرض، في بنية إجرامية عابرة للحدود.

According to the report, the "Gucci Gang" originated in Dublin as a group of "third-rate" criminals before gradually evolving into an international criminal network with an estimated haul of millions of pounds from thefts, exploiting the luxurious lifestyles documented by players and their families on social media platforms.
The gang is named after the luxury brand "Gucci," which its members are keen to wear, mimicking the lifestyle of luxury they target, while in reality, they stand behind one of the most sophisticated organized theft networks in Europe.
Transient Posts Turn into "Shopping Lists"
The report, based on police sources and files from organized theft investigations, indicated that the gang employs a method that involves closely monitoring the accounts of players, their wives, and girlfriends on Instagram.
These accounts typically showcase luxury watches from brands like "Rolex," jewelry from "Gucci," "Hermès" bags, and more, turning these images from displays of a luxurious life into what resembles "criminal shopping lists."
After that, a team of thieves, often of Albanian descent, takes on the task of field reconnaissance, identifying points of entry and times of absence, before executing swift nighttime raids that last only a few minutes.
Albanian Gangs and "Roaming Thieves"
Behind these operations are close partnerships with Albanian gangs, described as some of the most active criminal networks in Eastern Europe.
These gangs, colloquially referred to as "roaming thieves," often enter British territory via trucks, then engage in executing thefts on the ground, forming a transnational criminal structure.
